Position Summary
The Project Manager role is a pivotal part of the Asheville Home Remodel family. This position drives the business forward and is on the frontlines of fulfilling our mission of tangibly improving the lives of our customers. A
Project Manager
has the ability to manage all aspects of construction on multiple jobs from start to finish. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to stay level-headed and organized under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
? Manage multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish
? Build and maintain project schedules and your team's schedule throughout the project lifecycle
? Monitor and take responsibility for project budgets
? Attend Budget, Schedule & Consolidation meetings
? Host Pre-Construction Meetings with clients
? Meet regularly with Production Manager to review progress, budget, and scheduling
? Conduct ongoing project autopsies and host Autopsy Meetings
? Manage all warranty scheduling 60 days and one year after completion
Client Relations:
? Provide weekly contact with homeowners via JobTread or in person
? Conduct as-needed walk-throughs with homeowners, completing weekly walk-through forms
? Ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the project, keeping customers updated on schedules, construction progress, potential cost changes, and any arising issues
? Set realistic expectations and maintain open lines of communication as projects advance
Subcontractor & Trade Partner Management:
? Schedule Trade Partners and required walk-throughs per construction schedule
? Verify all Trade Partners and POs match scope of work before work begins
? Conduct quality control of all trade work
? Manage all trades including: demo, framing, insulation, foundations, flat work, landscape & hardscape, MEPs, drywall, window & door installation, siding & exterior trim, roofing & flashing, deck & porch framing, screening, all types of flooring, cabinetry & complex trim or built-ins, painting and punch out
Scope & Financial Management
:
? Raise awareness of any deviations from scope before work commences
? Build and approve change orders before work is performed
? Complete material takeoffs and ensure timely ordering
? Manage all receipts and invoices for your team
Jobsite Management
:
? Manage jobsite prep and protection prior to beginning work
? Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
? Ensure you and your team complete Daily Logs
? Build schedules, job logs, and photos through our CRM
? Adhere to building codes and work with inspections
Technical Skills
:
? Skillset includes: framing decks, porches, additions, roofs, cutting in dormers and staircases, trim, caulking and filling, installing shelving, cabinets, finishing out work and punch list items
Systems Compliance:
? Follow all company processes and systems, ensuring compliance at every step
? Continuously improve leadership skills
Requirements Experience:
? 5+ years in home construction/renovation related field
? 2+ years managing job sites
? Construction knowledge with proven ability to lead a team
Education:
? High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
Skills
:
? Mechanical Skills: ability to work with a variety of tools and machines
? Math Skills: ability to measure materials to be cut and installed
? Computer Skills: proficiency with construction management software and general computer applications
? Detail Oriented: precise measurements, sizing accuracy, and strong eye for detail
? Critical Thinking: ability to problem solve when issues arise and foresee them before they occur
? Leadership: ability to coach, develop, and motivate people
? Communication: excellent communication skills with clients and teams
? Must be open, honest, and communicate well to fit our team culture
Physical Requirements
:
The job requires a balance of desk work and physical activity. Candidates must be able to sit at a computer for several hours and have the physical strength to lift and handle heavy tools and materials, including lumber. Physical stamina is essential, as most projects involve standing, climbing, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
