Position Overview





The

Quality Control

Project

Manager

is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and management of Adams Electric's Quality System for assigned projects and markets. This role combines oversight of both quality assurance and quality control processes to guarantee that all electrical construction activities meet company, client, and regulatory standards.



The QC Project Manager will oversee department staff, manage the inspection and documentation processes, coordinate with project leadership, and serve as the primary liaison for all quality-related matters both internally and externally. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise in electrical construction, and a proactive approach to process improvement and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

Quality Management and Oversight




Fully implement all provisions of the Adams Electric Quality System and related documents on assigned projects. Manage and oversee all phases of quality control and assurance, both ON and OFF site. Establish and maintain project-specific Quality Systems in compliance with company and contract requirements. Review project submittals, field installation drawings, and schedules to ensure timely completion of quality control activities. Create and maintain checklists that meet contract and specification requirements. Ensure that QA/QC documentation is properly uploaded and maintained in

Procore

and

ACC

. Monitor

Procore Punch List Items

, ensuring that they are addressed or closed within seven (7) days. Ensure

OpenSpace captures

are conducted regularly, and

Duke Standards

are consistently implemented throughout all project phases. Manage QC activities and administration via

ACC

Process Improvement and Compliance




Develop, implement, and manage inspection and testing processes to ensure all work meets required quality standards and specifications. Identify areas for improvement in quality control practices and recommend solutions. Review electrical construction quality control procedures to enhance performance and consistency. Maintain detailed records of inspection, examination, and testing data. Support project teams in their efforts to deliver high-quality finished products. Participate in preconstruction meetings and provide quality input during planning stages. Schedule, plan, and conduct quarterly oversight of third-party contractors and provide management reports. Ensure compliance with state, FAA, and other applicable contracting or owner agencies.

Leadership and Communication




Supervise, train, and evaluate QA/QC staff to promote a culture of quality and accountability. Coordinate with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and other departments to align quality goals. Act as the

project quality liaison

with clients, contractors, and regulatory entities. Report regularly to the

Project Executive

on the performance of the Quality System, including recommendations for improvement. Ensure audit reports are clearly documented and communicated to management and stakeholders.

Attributes and Qualifications




Electrical background required

; strong electrical or general construction experience preferred.

Bachelor's degree

in construction management, Engineering, or related field; or

5+ years of relevant experience

in quality assurance/control and construction.

Project Management background

desired, with potential for advancement to Project Manager upon project completion (based on performance and interest).

QC experience

is beneficial but not required -- training and mentorship provided. Completion of an

Electrical Apprenticeship Program


Skills and Competencies




Strong leadership and supervisory abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, ACC, and related construction software. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills. Knowledge of electrical construction methods, tools, and materials. Ability to access heights via ladders or scaffolding and lift at least 50 lbs regularly. Flexibility to work "on-call" and travel between project sites.
