Project Manager



Innovative Electric Systems Inc, or IES, a small, family-owned company, is seeking a project manager. IES has a long history of work in the Denver area and reputation for quality. Our work, particularly on schools, has been growing and we're looking for project manager to help develop electrical construction plans and specifications. The project manager will work with, Kevin Yingling, IES's owner and a PE with over two decades' of experience in the industry. We're looking for someone who is hard-working and eager to learn. The project manger can expect to receive mentorship and support in building their skills and portfolio of work. We're a workplace that is flexible, collaborative, and dedicated to our craft and our clients.

The project manager will be in charge of all aspects of the process from schematic design through construction administration. They will be involved in meetings and site walks. There will be occasional in-person meetings or site visits--typically in the Denver area--but otherwise the project engineer will work remotely.

Our work in K-12 schools has been expanding rapidly, and we have a significant portfolio in sports and recreation. You can also expect to work on labs, offices, light industrial, libraries, retail, hospitality, large scale residential and historic rehab. Open projects in design currently include a deep-green remodel for East Boulder Recreation Center, a remodel of the Englewood Recreation Center, an outdoor pool remodel in Centennial, the bath house for Ouray Hot Springs and cooling and electrical replacement projects for Denver Public Schools.

What Applicants Need



Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering or electrical engineering

Some experience in the design of electrical systems as a project manager

Experience using AutoCAD, REVIT and Bluebeam

Knowledge of specification writing

Knowledge of power and lighting systems

Self driven and collaborative

Strong preference for Denver-metro area

Key Responsibilities



Take on all aspects of project design laying out power and lighting systems, coordinating with other engineers like mechanical engineers, coordinating with architects

Participate in design meetings

Participate in construction observations and punch walks

What IES Will Provide



Salary $100,000

$5,000 bonus for project managers with Denver Public School experience

Fully remote work with flexible hours.
