Job Description

This Project Manager role involves managing K-12 and government renovation projects across Washington, DC and Maryland, with a focus on schools, parks, and public facilities. The ideal candidate will lead field teams, coordinate self-performed trades, and deliver high-quality work in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
As a Project Manager, You'll oversee a diverse portfolio of projects including school renovations, parks and recreation upgrades, and municipal facility improvements. Most work is concentrated in DC and Maryland, with a strong client base in public agencies. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.
  • Lead field operations and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Oversee self-performed trades including drywall, masonry, carpentry, and specialty finishes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

  • 5+ years of experience managing K-12 or government construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement and compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with interior renovations and self-performed trade coordination is a plus.
  • Based in or willing to work in the Washington, DC metro area.
