Job Overview
Join our dynamic interior design studio as a Project Manager, where your organizational excellence and leadership will shine! In this role, you will oversee exciting luxury design projects from conception to completion, ensuring that each detail aligns with our clients' visions. You'll collaborate with talented designers, manage vendor relationships, coordinate with contractors, and maintain timelines to deliver stunning interiors that exceed expectations.
What You'll Do
Lead and coordinate multiple high-end residential and hospitality design projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure seamless translation of design concepts into executed spaces
Manage project documentation including contracts, proposals, schedules, budgets, status reports, and change orders while ensuring compliance with industry standards
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors to foster strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle
Conduct on-site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, address challenges, and ensure work aligns with design intent and specifications
Manage vendor relationships, including scheduling deliveries, tracking orders, and resolving any procurement or installation issues
Oversee building requirements, permits, and compliance with local codes and regulations
Review architectural and construction drawings to ensure accuracy and alignment with design plans
Proactively identify potential project risks or delays and implement solutions to keep projects on track
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project status, timelines, and logistics
Ensure quality control during renovation and remodeling phases
Basic Qualifications
Proven experience in project management within the interior design or construction industry (3+ years preferred)
Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with high-net-worth clients, vendors, and contractors
Experience managing vendor relationships, procurement processes, and installation coordination
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while being a strong team collaborator
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment: office-based, on-site visits, and client meetings as needed
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout the NYC metro area and occasionally beyond
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar)
Experience with project management software such as Buildertrend, Monday.com, or similar platforms
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Bluebeam, or ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
Experience with Design Files or similar design presentation software
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
Experience with luxury residential or hospitality projects with budgets of $750,000+
Familiarity with high-end finishes, furnishings, and custom millwork
Knowledge of NYC building codes, permits, and DOB processes
Strong understanding of budgeting processes related to interior design projects
Knowledge of contracts related to construction and interior design services
Experience in lighting design principles is a plus
