General Purpose and Scope of Position



The Project Manager analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services to create timely bids and proposals. This role will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects through each phase to ensure goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budget.

Responsibilities



Develop conceptual project design to determine: the project requirements; required facility modifications to support the project; and conceptual cost estimates to support payback calculations to determine project feasibility. Work with external contractors and engineers in the coordination and completion of projects. Plan and organize a project from developing stages (preliminary engineering, field investigations, bid package, etc.) through completion (procurement, construction, commissioning and startup). Complete calculations and analyses to determine required modifications in response to operational problems and/or to support projects. Develop design/build bid packages with adequate supporting documentation to ensure complete and comparable bids can be received on the project. Complete drawings, including general arrangements, flow diagrams, and site plans to support project work. Complete field investigations of existing facilities and documenting as-built conditions to assist in project development.

Qualifications



Excellent project management Skills (methods/tools) Experience using Protech and Bluebeam. Possess a broad knowledge of multiple business applications operating on multiple platforms Advanced proficiency in decision and issue management, risk management, engineering management, and engineering process Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and owner concepts furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form Demonstrated ability to manage multiple system development projects in a multi-platform environment, utilizing both in-house resources and consultants Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Effective written, listening and verbal communication skills
