Job Description

Local Birmingham Commercial General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team and help manage an influx of work from newer clients. They specialize in retail and medical projects across the Southeast, however the PM's do not travel.
Seeking a client-facing, well-spoken manager interested in representing an immensely respected mid-size GC.

  • Work alongside the Superintendent to oversee project staff for dedicated accounts
  • Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.
  • Build and maintain rapport with architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Understand and administer contract and subcontract agreements.
  • Establish, communicate, and implement the Project Schedule
  • Manage budget and financial reporting
  • Interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control program.
  • Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and fee and pricing decisions

Birmingham-based General Contractor seeking a Project ManagerOpportunity to join the team via their retail or healthcare division
  • 5+ years' experience in Commercial Construction Project Management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management / related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with retail or healthcare projects, both ground-up and remodel
  • Excellent client-management skills
  • Proficient in project management software
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Desire to grow career as a Project Manager and work for a mid-size GC
