Overview
TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in multiple market sectors across the US. These initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

TRC Advanced Energy created a Workforce Development program to strengthen our connection to the local community and create enhanced employment opportunities for individuals desiring to enter the clean energy workforce.
TRC is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Finance Apprentice to join our 14-week, paid Workforce Development program. In this role, you will develop the skills necessary to (Include job summary here) support the contracting and management of energy efficiency and clean energy incentive programs, as well as related administrative functions. We are looking for a hands-on, skilled professional with a combination of finance expertise and Excel-based analysis experience. A background in working with public authorities, state agencies, or utility grant programs is a strong plus.

Responsibilities
On-the-Job Training includes but is not limited to:

• Analyzing project transactions in financial and project databases
• Conducting Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews of all databases
• Reviewing and updating project finance spreadsheets
• Performing data entry and tasks within Salesforce CRM
• Creating PowerPoint presentations to summarize financial analysis results
• Assisting with fiscal year planning and variance analysis
• Providing general administrative support to project managers

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong time management, organizational abilities, and attention to detail
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
• Understanding of key accounting functions, such as revenue recognition and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)
• Verifiable work history
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptable, and capable of meeting deadlines with minimal supervision
• Reliable home internet service
• Ability to set up a home office using company-provided equipment
