Zachry Group is seeking to fill two Project Environmental Coordinator positions to support environmental compliance activities associated with construction phase of a high-profile EPC project. This role is ideal for emerging environmental professionals, such as recent college graduates or individuals with limited industry experience, who bring foundational technical knowledge, strong initiative, and a willingness to work hands-on in the field.


Working under the direction of the Project Environmental Manager and alongside experienced craft and management personnel, the PEC assists with implementing environmental requirements established by federal, state, and local regulations, project permits, and internal corporate standards. The successful candidate will gain practical, field-based experience while contributing to the safe and compliant execution of major construction activities



High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework or a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Natural Resources, or a related technical field preferred. Personable, professional, and able to communicate effectively with craft workers, subcontractors, and project management. Self-motivated, able to take initiative, and comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced field setting. Foundational understanding of environmental compliance topics such as stormwater BMPs, spill prevention and response, surface waters and wetlands protection, waste management, and fuel storage. Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, KMZ files and other standard software tools. Willingness to gain or learn technical writing skills associated with maintaining Environmental Plans and Procedures * Willingness to work outdoors in various weather and above-ground surface conditions.
