Job Description
Description:
- Perform onsite management of small retail/commercial remodels
- Responsible for safety enforcement & safety audits
- Creating project schedules & coordinating with subcontractors on a daily basis
- Onsite documentation of activities & reporting updates in project management software
- Handling submittals, change orders, RFI\'s, and other related documents
- Reading blueprints, drawings, site layouts in accordance to specifications
- Proposing bids and determining the costs of labor and materials for projects
- Attending client meetings/coordinating with client onsite
- Daily job-site clean-up/ensuring site is set-up for operation the next day
- Ensuring site is secure & locked up prior to wrapping up the shift
- Occasional basic hand/power tool use
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (Associate\'s a minimum requirement)
- An internship to 3 years of experience working for a general contractor, or related construction experience
- Hands-on attitude and ability to work with their hands
- Must be open to working night shifts, weekends dependent on project
- Ability to travel around the Chicagoland area for projects
