Project Engineer (plumbing/mechanical Background)

Job Description


A Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing various aspects of construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations. They work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects from inception to completion.

Project Engineer shall function as a supporting member of the project
management team.

  • Proficient with various software that include but not limited to:
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Project)
  • Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat
  • Vista Viewpoint (optional, training will be provided)
  • Various file sharing programs
  • Assist the Project Manager in reviewing all project drawings and documents.
  • Correspond with various vendors for quotes and submittals per project manager\'s direction
  • Assist the Project Manager in the estimate breakdown for job cost input process.
  • Assist the Project Manager in establishing a Schedule of Values (SOV) for client approval and processing.
  • Assist Project Manager in preparing proposals, estimates and change orders
  • Assemble submittal packages per Project Manager\'s direction
  • Assemble and organize project binders for the project team
  • Assist Project Manager in managing the budget throughout the project.
  • Assist the Project Manager with monthly revenue and job cost projections.
