Job Overview

We are eager to meet recent graduates from a construction, engineering or related field looking to build a career in a team environment. The focus of our PE position is supporting more senior staff while learning the business. Our approach emphasizes a combination of solid contribution, opportunities to observe higher level activities and providing feedback and support for development in the position.

Typical work products include a clear, organized and well documented framework to ensure compliance with contract documents, cost, schedule and quality objectives. The Project Engineer will be introduced to other more advanced concepts over time.

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of the construction process and ability to anticipate, identify and promptly address issues that impact performance risk and timing of project delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to read & interpret construction drawings, plans & specifications
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software. Experience using other construction software is a plus.
  • Ability prioritize and make timely decisions either independently or with support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with an ability to build long-term customer relationships with WR customers
  • Desire to work as a collaborative member of a construction project team
  • Self-starter, with a strong work ethic
  • Interest in continual learning and development
Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor\'s degree in construction management or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
