This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule (3 or more days on site a week) and will be based out of our Fort Smith, Arkansas location

Summary

As a Project Engineer 1 you will Lead Engineering projects to drive cost out of the current product as designed, while working with all functional groups to achieve this goal. You will also be a technical lead on material reduction projects that drive cost and out of the design. This position will handle the monthly; reporting of VAVE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) activities and report out to Accounting and Engineering management on VAVE goal attainment. This position will run design projects as needed for new parts generation or new equipment as needed for Air handler specifications that relate to VAVE activities. This position will be fluid as activities will adjust as projects are completed based on demand.

What you will do:

• Work with Engineering and Design on VA/VE projects.
• Lead VA/VE projects in Unit design to reduce overall cost.
• Work with Procurement on Materials projects
• Work with Operations on projects to drive Cost out of the product.
• Technical liaison with Design Group and Outside partners on Projects in process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Requires BS Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
• Prefer a minimum of one \xe2\x80\x93 three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience or relevant Project work.
• Knowledge of Engineering and design Principles that apply to a manufacturing environment.
• Desire to continuously seek improvement in existing process and materials.
• Creative and energetic personality willing to assume multi-dimensional role in a fast-paced custom manufacturing business.
• Good personal and end-user computing skills.
• Preferred but not Required, knowledge in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be autonomous (self-starter) and have good problem-solving skills.

Base Compensation Range is $48,000 to $68,400

Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed
