Position Summary



The

Project Director

is responsible for selling, scoping, and managing restoration projects from initial client contact through reconstruction. This role oversees all aspects of project development - from damage assessment and estimate review to payment collection and customer satisfaction.

Once the project scope and deposit are secured, the Project Director transitions the job to the Project Manager for production, while maintaining customer communication and financial oversight. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, natural closer, and customer advocate with a solid understanding of restoration processes.

Key Responsibilities:



Sales & Project Development

Conduct initial site inspections, assess damages, and develop detailed scopes of work to restore structures to pre-loss condition. Present restoration solutions to customers, explain processes, obtain signed contracts, and collect initial deposits. Collaborate with the estimating department to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment of all project estimates. Establish clear payment terms, including progress billing schedules and deductible collection.

Project Oversight & Financial Management

Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure seamless project handoff and alignment on scope, budget, and client expectations. Maintain responsibility for all project financials, including setting up payment terms and managing outstanding receivables. Partner with Legal and Collections teams to ensure timely payment resolution. Monitor ongoing job progress to ensure quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Leadership & Mentorship

Mentor new Project Directors, including conducting joint site visits, reviewing project performance, and providing constructive feedback. Support process improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to Romexterra SOPs and IICRC standards.

Qualifications



Education & Experience



High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in business, construction management, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in restoration, construction, or related service industries. At least 3 years of proven sales experience in a service-based environment. 2+ years of experience as an estimator or project manager preferred.

Certifications (Preferred)



IICRC certification (any level) Xactimate Level 1 or higher Bilingual proficiency a plus

Skills & Competencies



Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven record of closing deals. Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities. Solid knowledge of restoration practices in water, fire, and mold trades. Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate clearly with customers. Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently. Exceptional customer service mindset, with empathy and professionalism under pressure. High ethical standards and commitment to quality.

Compensation & Benefits



Base salary

$110,000

, based on experience.
