Job Description


The Project Developer (Wind) will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the development of large utility-scale renewable energy projects and focus on growing and managing a development team. The Project Developer (Wind) will have the opportunity to lead development activities on utility-scale solar and wind projects across the US.

The Project Developer (Wind):

  • Help identify project site and assist with real estate and legal teams and help bring projects through the diligence process
  • Manage the project through the entire life-cycle; from site identification to construction phase (NTP)
  • Conduct land, market, regulatory, and other project-related research
  • Responsible for origination and support of the company\'s utility-scale solar projects in the US
  • Effectively work with existing Development team on Utility-scale projects
  • Acquire real estate rights for development opportunities
  • Maintain relationships with external and local stakeholders
  • Direct resource management processes and output estimates
  • Prepare project budgets, schedules, and RFP responses
  • Provide guidance and training\'s to junior level developers on the team
  • Travel required as project needs arise (25%-50%)

Ability to work with a growing renewable energy company in the US |Ability to work on large utility-scale projects
  • 3-5 years experience within the renewable industry or utilities industry with direct experience in managing utility-scale solar and/or wind projects through all phases of the projects life-cycle
  • Knowledge with zoning and permitting regulations
  • Ideally experience with projects in WECC but open to people with experience in other energy markets
  • Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, public officials, other stakeholders, and utilities
  • Well-rounded project management experience
  • Working knowledge of GIS programs
  • Bachelors degree is required
  • Highly organized and passion for the renewable industry
  • Willingness to travel (25%-50%)
  • Ideally local to Las Vegas, Nevada but this role is 100% remote opportunity
