What You'll Do



Support senior design staff throughout all phases of the architectural process: schematic design, design development, and construction documentation. Attend and participate in client meetings--taking detailed notes, observing presentation methods, and learning how to communicate design intent effectively. Produce detailed

CAD drawings, 3D models, and renderings

, contributing to comprehensive construction document sets. Pick up and incorporate redlines and revisions from senior architects accurately and efficiently, remaining open to feedback and coaching. Assist in coordinating consultant drawings (structural, landscape, civil, interiors) with architectural documents. Collaborate closely with construction and purchasing teams to align

design intent, budget, and constructability

. Manage and track all permit and regulatory acquisition activities: preparing submittal packages, completing applications, tracking review status, and coordinating with municipal officials. Ensure drawing accuracy, quality, and adherence to firm standards and applicable codes. Receive

hands-on mentorship

from senior architects and exposure to the full design-build lifecycle.

What You'll Bring



The Project Designer role is designed for an emerging professional ready to build upon a solid foundation in high-end residential design.


Required Qualifications:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a

NAAB-accredited program

. 1-3 years of professional experience in

custom residential architecture

. Strong design and graphic ability with an understanding of all phases of the architectural process. Proficiency in

CAD

and supporting design software (Graphisoft

ArchiCAD

&

Twinmotion

experience preferred). Familiarity with

AI tools

and their application in visualization or workflow optimization is a plus. Basic understanding of

construction methods

and

residential building codes

. Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow within a

collaborative studio environment

. Professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment while taking ownership of responsibilities. Ability to thrive in a

fast-paced, deadline-driven

environment while maintaining precision and composure. Dedication to

continuous learning, licensure preparation, and professional growth

Software & Tools



ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Twinmotion Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) 3D rendering or modeling software Familiarity with AI-based design visualization tools (preferred)
