Position: Project Coordinator



Required Qualifications



Pursuing a career in Construction Management

1-2 years experience as a Project Coordinator, Project engineer, or Document Control.

A Project Coordinator is to have strong computer skills enabling him or her to successfully navigate between FabSuite, Excel, Word, Blue Beam, and Outlook. A Project Coordinator will have a very good understanding of contract drawings and trade specific drawings. Familiarity with the structural steel industry is needed, but most important is an organized and methodical approach to all job functions. A Project Coordinator must be able to effectively communicate with Project Managers, Estimators and the Detailers to be successful. When things become hectic, the ability to prioritize and execute to meet deadlines become critical.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain all documents in an organized fashion on a shared drive for others to access whenever possible. Understanding that time is of the essence on all projects, a Project Coordinators ability to stay highly organized and to help their assigned Project Manager keep up with submittals, RFIs, ASI changes, schedules, and documentation is paramount.

Essential Job Functions



Coordinate and maintain organization of all drawings and related documents during all phases of assigned projects. Handle all buyout quotes, RFI's, submittals, returned submittals, distribution and cataloging drawings for fabrication and field use, RFI's, ASI's, and monitor emails. Be responsible for writing RFI's, ordering field bolts, procuring pricing for buy-outs, and site visits. Constant follow up on submittals is a crucial function for support of assigned Project Manager.

Make sure all estimating items are transferred to the correct job folder and completed

Update and maintain field and fabrication schedules

Make contact with the GC team and identify the necessary parties

Identify detailing schedule and submittals groups

Submit safety documentation, welding certifications, SDS, and other job specific documents

Make sure AV has submitted their Hilti pin submittal if applicable

Submit drawings and RFI's to the GC

Maintain a drawing logs for all projects

Distribute returned drawings and RFI responses to all parties involved with the project

Distribute ASI's and new drawings to detailers and subs when needed. Need to review first

Track submittal durations and send out weekly reminders

Track RFI durations and send out weekly reminders

Review returned submittal and look for unanswered questions

Review returned RFI's a verify that the questions were answered

Review weekly Job Status Reports and look for action items/issues

Ask for field bolt list and verify there are correct

Send out bolt lists for quotes

Order bolts and other unique buyout items

Release drawing packages to the shop for fabrication

Maintain the job folder and update/delete as necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
