, you will play an essential role in supporting project execution from preconstruction through closeout. You'll assist Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams with communication, documentation, and scheduling to ensure every project runs efficiently, stays on budget, and exceeds client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Support Project Managers and Superintendents in the planning and execution of commercial construction projects.
Prepare, track, and maintain project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and closeout materials.
Manage project specification and plans.
Assist with updating schedules and distribute to Subcontractors and Suppliers
Coordinate communication between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
Manage and update project information using company systems such as
Procore
,
Microsoft Office
, or other construction management software.
Assist with subcontractor prequalification, bid solicitations, and tracking of scopes and insurance certificates.
Assist in project invoicing.
Organize project meetings, document minutes, and follow up on action items.
Help ensure all project activities comply with company safety standards, contract requirements, and quality expectations.
Distribution, collection, and maintenance of records related to project safety training and site inspections
Provide administrative support to the project team throughout all project phases -- from start-up to final punch list and closeout.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in commercial construction coordination, project administration, or a similar role with a
general contractor
.
Software:
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
; experience with
Procore
,
Bluebeam
,
MS Project
, or similar construction management software is strongly preferred.
Knowledge:
Understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications; familiarity with subcontractor management and job cost tracking.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative and dependable team player with a proactive mindset.
Work Environment
On-site position based in Johnston, Iowa. -not a remote position.
Must be comfortable coordinating between field and office staff.
Occasional travel may be required for project support or client meetings.
