About the Role

We're seeking a

Project Analyst & Procurement Specialist

to support our project management team by analyzing project financials and driving smarter procurement decisions. This role bridges

finance, project management, and purchasing

-- ensuring projects stay on budget, materials are sourced cost-effectively, and leadership has clear insights into financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis

Review and monitor project cost codes, budgets, and schedules. Analyze WIP reports, purchase orders, and actual costs to identify trends and variances. Conduct monthly and quarterly job forecasts to project final costs and profitability. Collaborate with project managers to update forecasts based on field progress and real-time data. Create dashboards and financial summaries to support decision-making.

Procurement & Vendor Management

Source materials by contacting vendors and suppliers for pricing and availability. Evaluate purchasing channels (direct vs. distributor) for cost, lead time, and quality advantages. Support vendor negotiations and track procurement savings. Recommend purchasing strategies to improve project margins.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with project managers and estimators to align purchasing with project goals. Coordinate with accounting and finance to ensure data accuracy. Contribute to continuous improvement in purchasing and financial management practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field

(preferred). 1-2 years of experience in

construction project management, project controls, or financial analysis.

Understanding of

construction cost codes, budgets, schedules, and WIP reports.

Proficiency with

construction accounting systems

and strong

Excel

skills. Excellent

communication, analytical, and negotiation

abilities. Working knowledge of construction terminology and materials.
