Job Description

The

Project Accountant

reports to the Controller in our

Norcross, GA

office. The role will be responsible for various administrative and accounting functions, primarily pertaining to the day-to-day project accounting directly supporting Team Leaders/Project Managers in different offices and continually improving processes where possible.


Essential Duties


Contract Administration




Initialize project set up ensuring compliance with issued proposals and including allocation of fees to proper profit centers Maintain familiarity with details and status of projects Develop and maintain good working relationship with client counterparts Respond to various client requests to include processing lien waivers, COI's, etc.

Invoicing




Generate periodic and on-demand billing in client specific format and timing, both of fees as well as client reimbursable expenses including supporting documentation Provide billing information, research, troubleshooting, and follow up on both internal project manager as well as client generated billing issues

Accounts Receivable/Collections




Generate and send monthly statements to clients Respond to missing invoice replacement requests Research and clarify unidentified client remittances

Accounts Payable




Assist with general accounts payable, credit card recons/payments and expense report approval/correction as needed.

Team Leader/Project Manager Support




Prepare and review monthly A/R reports with Team Leaders Interface on day-to-day basis with Team Leaders/Project Managers

Job Requirements/Preferences


+ Accounting or financial experience in Commercial Construction or with Architectural/Engineering firms + Experience with Deltek Vision or VantagePoint ERP software + Working knowledge of job costing + Experience in working with sensitive company information + Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
