The Youth Empowerment & Stability Foundation is a grassroots, community-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and young adults to achieve self-sufficiency, stability, resilience, and meaningful civic and community engagement. Our work is rooted in equity, lived experience, and youth-centered leadership.
Programs Volunteers play a vital role in helping us deliver impactful, responsive programming that meets the needs of youth and young adults in our community.
Position Overview
Programs Volunteers support the planning, coordination, and delivery of youth and young adult programs, events, and initiatives. Volunteers work closely with organizational leadership and program partners to ensure programs are engaging, well-organized, and aligned with the organization's mission and values.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about youth empowerment, community engagement, and hands-on impact.
Key Responsibilities
Program Support & Implementation
Assist with planning and facilitating youth and young adult programs, workshops, and events
Support program logistics such as setup, registration, materials preparation, and breakdown
Help create welcoming, safe, and inclusive spaces for participants
Youth Engagement & Support
Engage positively with youth and young adults during programs and activities
Support youth participation, leadership, and voice in program activities
Model respectful communication and trauma-informed engagement
Administrative & Organizational Support
Assist with attendance tracking, feedback collection, and basic documentation
Support follow-up communication with participants and partners as needed
Help maintain program materials and supplies
Community & Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and community partners
Represent the organization professionally during programs and events
Support outreach efforts to increase program participation when needed
Qualifications & Skills
Passion for youth empowerment and community impact
Ability to work with youth and young adults from diverse backgrounds
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, organized, and willing to learn
Lived experience and community knowledge are strongly valued
Previous experience in youth work, education, social services, or community programs is a plus, but not required

Maintain confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
Participate in any required orientation or training
