South River Federal Solutions is seeking a highly skilled
Manager, Program/Project I
to support a high-visibility federal program. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytically driven professional with strong experience in Integrated Product Schedules (IPS), milestone planning, and large-scale program coordination.
Position Overview
The Manager, Program/Project I will lead the development, maintenance, and reporting of complex Integrated Product Schedules to ensure alignment across engineering, logistics, testing, procurement, and program leadership. This position is responsible for creating and updating timetables for project tasks, major test events, and program milestones, ensuring schedules accurately reflect resource availability, material needs, and program constraints.
You will use modern computational tools to determine critical path items, forecast interim milestones, and analyze equipment lead times. This position requires the ability to independently assess task dependencies, identify schedule risks, and maintain the level of production scheduling rigor necessary to support ACAT I/II programs. No training will be provided; candidates must be fully prepared to step into this environment on Day One.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and update Integrated Product Schedules (IPS) across all program phases.
Establish and manage timetables for project activities, test events, and program milestones.
Evaluate resource availability, material requirements, and production lead times to determine schedule feasibility.
Utilize modern scheduling and computational tools to identify critical paths, interim milestones, and schedule risks.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to synchronize program timelines and ensure milestone alignment.
Conduct schedule analysis and provide clear, data-driven recommendations to program leadership.
Support ACAT I/II program execution with no additional training provided--must bring working knowledge and hands-on experience.
Required Minimum Qualifications
U.S. Citizen
Active SECRET Clearance
Bachelor's degree in
Finance, Business Administration, Engineering
, or a related field from an accredited college/university.
Six (6) years of experience
as a Program Manager supporting Navy technical programs, including:
Development, repair, installation, modification, operation, testing, and maintenance of Government systems.
Demonstrated experience in: Scheduling and planning, Estimating, Project control, Subcontract management, and Project progress tracking
Experience working with Navy programs, organizations, functions, and responsibilities.
Working knowledge of: Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), and Fleet organizations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience generating ACAT I/II Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) or IPS
Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle
PMP, DAWIA PM, or similar certification
Advanced scheduling tool experience (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
