Creative Treatment Options (CTO) has served the Denver community for over 25 years,
providing high-quality, client-centered care. We are expanding services with the launch of our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), a dual-diagnosis program designed to support adults with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. We are seeking Program Therapists (ProT) to join our team and help us deliver exceptional group-based treatment in an intensive outpatient setting.
This is a group-focused, in-person position only at our Arvada office. Please note: If you are applying from out of state, we cannot interview or make an offer until you are certified/licensed to practice in Colorado.
About the Role:
Program Therapists are responsible for facilitating daily group sessions, engaging clients in therapeutic processes, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. This position is designed for professionals who are passionate about delivering trauma-informed, evidence-based, and inclusive group treatment.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate assigned group therapy sessions (psychoeducational, skills-based, and process groups) within the PHP schedule
Promote safety, structure, and therapeutic engagement in group settings
Observe, monitor, and document client participation, progress, and clinical needs
Complete group notes and attendance documentation within 24 hours
Attend multidisciplinary treatment team (MTT) meetings 3x weekly to collaborate on treatment planning and client progress
Maintain ethical, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices
Participate in required trainings and clinical supervision
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a human services or behavioral health field (e.g., psychology, counseling, social work, human services)
Minimum credential: Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) in good standing with Colorado DORA (CAS or higher strongly preferred)
Experience working in a clinical or treatment setting
Strong documentation skills and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience facilitating group therapy (DBT, CBT, Seeking Safety, MRT, ACT, etc.)
Familiarity with documenting for Medicaid (billing and charting)
Experience with co-occurring/dual-diagnosis populations
Ability to write DAP notes and work in fast-paced team environments
Schedule:
This is a PHP position: Monday through Friday daytime hours
Primarily group-focused role (with limited individual sessions as needed)
