Overview

We're looking for a Program Specialist to join Community Justice Alternatives (CJA) and coordinate the Useful Public Service (UPS) program within the Alternative Sentencing Department. This program gives individuals the opportunity to complete court-ordered service hours in ways that benefit our community.


In this role, you'll help create positive change through restorative justice initiatives--supporting accountability, growth, and community connection. It's meaningful work where you can see the direct impact of your efforts every day.

This position's schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm.


Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:



Providing customer service and answering questions about County and department policies. Interviewing clients for Court-Ordered Useful Public Service (UPS) and assigning placements. Processing UPS documentation and sharing progress with supervising agencies. Sending reminders for upcoming deadlines. Maintaining program files and records. Entering and updating data accurately in department systems.

Two (2) years in a directly related field or performance of similar duties. Possess reliable transportation to be able to work in any County facility as needed and required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
