Why does the job exist?



Business Operations Analysts might be single practitioners or part of large international organizations employing thousands of other consultants, some specialize in a specific industry while others specialize by business function. In government, Business Operations Analysts tend to specialize by type of agency and the work varies with each employer and from project to project. They provide program guidance and direction to business units and separate reporting activities on all matters pertaining to business and life-cycle acquisition processes. Business Operations Analysts define and perform system analysis and develop tasks to improve workflow and operating efficiency.

How does it get done?



10% Personnel Management:

This position will involve supervising and supporting program specialist staff addressing contract and vendor

issues promptly, and implementing effective solutions to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.



40% Process Coordination:

The Program Specialist Supervisor will streamline administrative processes, implementing standardized

practices, and collaborating with regional offices to ensure consistency in procedures.



20% Communication and Collaboration:

As a central point of contact, this role will serve as a communication liaison between different

vendors, facilitating regular meetings, and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration to reduce territorial issues.



10% Training and Development:

The incumbent will develop and implement training programs for program specialists, ensuring ongoing

professional development to enhance skills and monitor staff performance effectively.



10% Financial and Fiscal Responsibility:

Responsibilities include managing the contracts and vendors operations, monitoring expenses for

compliance with financial guidelines, 'and collaborating with the Budget/Fiscal Manager to align financial practices with administrative

needs.



10% Quality Assurance:

The Program Specialist Supervisor will conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to standardized processes,

provide feedback, and , implement improvements to ensure compliance with agency policies and guidelines.

Minimum Qualification



Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and two (2) years of directly related job experience operating within parameters and guidelines in the areas of office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements



Background investigation is required and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions



Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting,

standing, bending and reaching may be required. Travel may be required. Possible exposure to irate clientele. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent

time constraints.
