Kaizen Martial Arts is celebrating 20 years of empowering students to reach their full potential... physically, mentally, and emotionally, through martial arts.

Based in Mount Laurel, NJ, we've grown from a single class in 2005 to a thriving academy offering over 40 classes each week for hundreds of local families.

Position Overview

We're seeking

motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Instructors

to join our growing team! This is a part-time to full-time position.

You'll assist in teaching kids classes, build relationships with students and parents, and help deliver the ultimate martial arts experience in a supportive and professional environment.

If you enjoy working with children, have strong people skills, and love making a difference, this could be the perfect fit for you!

What You'll Do

Assist lead instructors during kids and family classes Support students in developing Focus, Confidence, Discipline, and Respect Build positive relationships with parents and families Help with class setup, organization, and cleanup Participate in ongoing staff training and professional development Represent Kaizen Martial Arts at

community outreach events

such as trunk-or-treats, local festivals, school visits and assemblies, and public demonstrations Promote a fun, safe, and respectful environment for all students

What We're Looking For

Growth oriented individuals who possess the following:

Positivity, enthusiasm, and reliability Excellent communication and interpersonal people skills Strong leadership potential and willingness to learn High attention to detail Comfort engaging with both children and adults Experience working with kids (coaching, mentoring, or teaching preferred) Martial arts experience a plus--but

not required

(not all positions require martial arts experience, but you will have the opportunity to learn and train)

Requirements

1+ years of experience that is complementary to our brand promise. Priority will be given to those with martial arts experience, who have worked with children, who have customer-facing work experience High school diploma or equivalent Availability for afternoon and evening classes Reliable transportation to Mount Laurel, NJ

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
