Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated Program Specialist ESL to support adult language learners through innovative instructional strategies and program development. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in curriculum development, adult education, and learning technology, with a passion for fostering bilingual and literacy skills. This role involves designing engaging lesson plans, coaching teachers, and utilizing learning management systems to enhance educational outcomes for diverse student populations, including those with special needs such as deaf or visually impaired learners.

Duties



Develop and implement comprehensive ESL curriculum tailored to adult learners' needs, incorporating best practices in instructional design and classroom management. Provide coaching and professional development support to ESL teachers, focusing on effective teaching strategies, classroom management, and integration of learning technology. Utilize LMS platforms to track student progress, deliver online resources, and facilitate blended learning environments. Design and adapt instructional materials for learners with special needs, including deaf education and visually impaired education. Conduct tutoring sessions to reinforce language acquisition, literacy education, and adult language skills. Collaborate with stakeholders to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data analysis. Support classroom instruction through lesson planning, assessment design, and instructional support for diverse learner populations. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with adult education trends, bilingual education strategies, and assistive learning technologies.

Experience



Proven experience in teaching or tutoring adult learners in ESL or related fields such as literacy or bilingual education. Strong background in curriculum development, instructional design, and classroom management within adult education settings. Experience working with students with disabilities, including deaf or visually impaired education. Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning technology tools used in adult language instruction. Effective communication skills with the ability to coach teachers and collaborate with diverse teams. Prior classroom experience demonstrating adaptability across various educational environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of special education principles related to adult learners is a plus. Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
