We are presently hiring a Part Time (24 hours week) (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)Program Manager (PM). The Program Manager for the Respite Program is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Tancell Care's facility-based and community-based respite services. This position ensures that programming is safe, inclusive, and engaging for children and youth with intellectual and developmental support needs while meeting family respite goals. The Program Manager provides leadership and supervision, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes an environment that aligns with Tancell Care's mission to foster independence, self-confidence, and community participation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:




Oversee, monitor, and coordinate daily operations of facility-based and community-based respite services.

Ensure that programming includes structured activities such as creative arts, sensory play, life skills development, group games, adapted sports, and themed respite camps; actively support and maintain the creation, planning, and implementation of these activities to ensure they are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and aligned with participant needs and program goals.

Maintain a safe and sensory-friendly environment with proper supervision levels, adhering to established staff-to-participant ratios.

Supervise and support DSP staff, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, performance management, employee relations, and training.

Collaborate with the Program Director/Assistant Program Director on staffing decisions, policy enforcement, and corrective actions.

Develop and monitor individualized care plans for participants in collaboration with families, service coordinators, and staff.

Serve as primary contact for families and service coordinators, addressing program inquiries, service updates, and participant progress.

Oversee community outings, including transportation logistics, safety planning, and staff supervision during trips.

Coordinate and conduct monthly safety inspections, fire drills, and corrective action follow-ups.

Manage budgets, maintain supply inventory, and process payroll for program staff.

Facilitate staff meetings, professional development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Assist in intake, tour, and enrollment process for new participants.

Maintain accurate program documentation, including attendance, incident reports, and progress notes.

Represent the program in meetings, audits, and inspections as required.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILL REQUIRMENTS

:




Must be at least 18 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Minimum two (2) years of verifiable experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental support needs required.

At least six (6) months of supervisory experience in a respite, camp, childcare, or similar program required.

Knowledge of child/youth development, recreational programming, and community integration strategies.

Strong skills in staff supervision, program coordination, and crisis management.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with scheduling and reporting software preferred.

Ability to establish rapport with children, families, and community partners.

Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds as required for participant assistance.
