Job Description

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention, Accreditation and Regulatory Readiness, the IP & ARR Project Manager provides high-level project coordination, team oversight, and operational leadership within the Epidemiology and Infection Prevention and Accreditation and Regulatory Readiness programs. This position supports system-level initiatives for both departments as well as alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards. The role includes strategic planning, policy and document management, departmental finance oversight, and coordination of high-stakes regulatory deliverables and events. The core Success Factors include: Instill Trust and Value Differences Patient and Community Focus and Collaborate RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership and Oversight Provides supervisory oversight for up to five team members, including light-duty staff supporting hand hygiene monitoring and Infectious Disease fellows contributing to department functions. Supports strategic alignment across IP and ARR priorities through forward planning of team meetings, staff huddles, and initiatives. Assists in goal setting, onboarding, and performance development of departmental staff. Project and Program Management Leads enterprise policy management activities, ensuring timely review, approval, and implementation of policies across departments. Oversees planning and preparation for hospital-acquired infection event reviews and coordinates materials for high-priority quality investigations. Coordinates ongoing tracking, updates, and reporting of regulatory activities and requirements from CMS, The Joint Commission, and state health departments. Maintains required documentation and logs for accreditation, inspections, and survey readiness. Manages documentation and archiving of evidence for corrective action plans and regulatory responses. Oversees departmental budget planning, contract review, billing reconciliation, and cost management in collaboration with finance and leadership teams. Collects and disseminates infectious disease updates (e.g., state flu trends) to enterprise stakeholders. Coordinates Joint Commission-required documentation and assists with readiness and response activities for surveys. Oversees payroll processes and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manages and audits department HR files and competencies to ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards. Operational Excellence Serves as liaison between department leadership and cross-functional teams on matters of project coordination and execution. Supports internal communication through preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and departmental communications. Collaborates with leadership to support educational and operational needs of the department. Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field required. CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) required within two years of hire. Completion of the Vizient Accreditation Professional Orientation Program (APOC) required within two years of hire. ; EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in healthcare project management, infection prevention, regulatory readiness, or healthcare quality. Experience supervising or coordinating work of others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power BI) and other tools used for project coordination and data tracking. Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Ability to anticipate needs of the departments and put interventions and action plans in place to facilitate effectiveness and efficiency. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Provides functional guidance to others who may be assigned on a project basis.
