Why does the job exist?



The Program Manager will:



Provide coordination and oversight of specialized services within the New Mexico behavioral health system of care as well as support for the Clinical Services Team within the Behavioral Health Services Division (BHSD);



Assist with developing, planning, and executing a variety of projects critical to the development and improvement of the publicly funded system of behavioral health care, including, but not limited to, federal grants and state funded programs and legislative initiatives. This includes tracking grant deliverables, maintaining documentation, and coordinating reporting schedules between providers, BHSD and fiscal staff;



Facilitate and coordinate communication between stakeholders to ensure access to service and quality oversight; conducting outreach to build capacity through community connections;



Work directly with behavioral health providers to support service provision;



Manage, analyze, and evaluate complex social services to ensure quality outcomes;



Ensure that these services are being rendered statewide;



Provide technical assistance in the specified program areas.



How does it get done?



The Program Manager is responsible for:



Facilitating communication between BHSD and community partners, ensuring timely information flow and documenting stakeholder feedback for leadership review;



Monitoring project progress, flag emerging needs or gaps, and coordinate adjustments to project plans with input from internal consultation and collaboration;



Consulting with internal and external partners to collect service performance data, prepare summary reports, and coordinate provider follow-up to support quality monitoring processes and to support stakeholders with opportunities for improvement in their service provision;



Sustaining and engaging in appropriate professional communication with stakeholders, peers, providers, and others in a timely fashion, to include phone calls, messages, emails, filing of reports;



Maintaining tracking systems for statewide implementation activities. Coordinate logistics for meetings, work-groups, and technical assistance sessions;



Compiling provider feedback and documenting barriers to service delivery for appropriate internal triaging and escalation;



Supporting consistency in communication materials, timelines, and deliverable tracking.

MAD, DDSD, and CYFD.

Minimum Qualification



Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional level experience with a tactical impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements



Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions



Work is performed in an office setting. Incumbent will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Some travel is required.
