Description

The Program Manager oversees all operations of designated Employment Service Program for people with developmental disabilities. IN this role, you\'ll supervise staff and ensure adequate staffing. You\'ll ensure policies, procedures, and Administrative Rules are followed. You\'ll develop and implement individual support plans and provide coordination for the people in our services.

This position covers services in Multnomah and Clackamas counties and is a hybrid position with your office based on our beautiful Gresham Campus.

Duties

  • Manage staff and maintain working environments that emphasize teamwork and cooperation.
  • Accurately maintain and routinely review finances for each person in our services as established by Kerr policy.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with community agencies, families, union members, guardians and state and county agencies, and agency support staff.
  • Utilize current and progressive methods of support for people with developmental disabilities.
  • Ensure that programs are in compliance with OARs, agency policies and procedures, and are serving the agency mission.
  • Ensure that the programs emphasize safety, both for the people served and the employees.
  • Act as primary contact for on-call staff, 24 hours a day/ 5 days per week.
  • Manage programs within agency approved budgets, including the supply budget, staffing hours, and overtime usage, etc.
  • Work with ISP teams to create, ISPs, BSPs, Medical Support Plans (MSPs) and other support documents that are in compliance with the OARs and agency policies, and also strive to achieve desired lifestyles and increased levels of independence, productivity, and social/physical integration for the people in our services.
  • Participate in self assessments and licensing reviews, and work with the Assistant Director to develop the Plan of Improvement and ensure that all issues are resolved.
  • Cooperate and function in a changing environment while ensuring the health and safety of the people we serve and staff.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years education and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related field.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency consistent with requirements to access care plans, communicate by email, make reports, and conduct similar tasks.
  • Consistent, punctual attendance to provide in-person supports to people we support.
  • Verbal and written English language proficiency sufficient to communicate with people we support, co-workers, and community members.
  • A valid drivers license and the ability to meet agency driving requirements.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75lbs.
  • Adequate visual and auditory sensory capacity to effectively supervise people we support, with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to safely perform Oregon Intervention System physical intervention techniques and/or lifting/transferring people as appropriate to program/shift.
