Job Description

The Program Manager is responsible for program design, evaluation, and management. AYC envisions a community where all youth are connected with peers and caring adults, engaged in quality programming, and have access to resources that increase social skills and self-esteem. The Program Manager position is a full-time position and is directly accountable to the Executive Director. The Program Manager will possess the experience and skills necessary to design, lead, support, and continuously develop innovative program offering for youth ages 9-18 / grades 4 through 12.

The candidate will demonstrate the ability to support and strengthen colleagues in a collaborative manner who directly work with youth, and maintain an organizational culture that values innovation, ownership, accountability, and excellence. The qualified candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for the AYC mission, garnering support among community stakeholders to further the organization's distinctive position as a leader in empowering youth through the development of programs and services that support young people's ability to connect, learn and grow during time not in school.

Manager Position Description

The AYC Program Manager Exhibits:

? Ability to develop innovative programs responsive to the needs of the youth and families the AYC serves with fidelity.

? Experience with direct service organizations focused on youth development.

? Demonstrated ability to sustain a values-based culture and set a strong example for how work will be done with in integrity.

? Strong presence and ability to directly communicate the mission to community partners.

? Ability to implement durable policies and processes that ensure the positive development and safety of young people.

AYC Program Manager Expectations:



? Provide leadership and innovation for the design and deployment of AYC programming.

? Ensure AYC programs to be responsive to the needs of the youth and families they serve through consistent and effective implementation of evaluation and youth-centered program design.

? Steward the AYC mission in collaboration with community partners as opportunities align with program development.

? Co-create and support ways by which the AYC can best leverage its assets to sustainably meet the needs of the youth and family in the region.

AYC Program Manager Responsibilities:



Programming

? Advance the mission and values-based culture of the AYC through program development.

? Consistently deploy the quality operations of the organization.

? Develop program goals consistent with the mission and the empowerment of youth through positive youth development.

? Ensure the consistent supervision and safety of youth at the AYC and when participating in AYC sponsored activities.

? Provide accurate and timely information for continuous evaluation and improvement of the program effectiveness in partnership with staff.

? In collaboration with the board's Program Committee, deploy an annual program strategy that meets the needs of youth and families and incorporates the best practices of positive youth development.

? Facilitate the development and management of an annual program budget.

? Ensure financial reporting accuracy and timeliness to the Executive Director.

? Ensure the adequate support, supervision and evaluation of program staff and volunteers and corresponding personnel policies.

Program Manager Qualifications



The Program Manager will be thoroughly committed to Aspen Youth Center's mission and have proven direct-facing youth program development, management, and community relationship building experience.

Program Manager Preferred Qualifications



? Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.

? Excellence in youth program design and deployment with the ability to manage high-performance teams, achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget.

? Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to program planning. ? Commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.

? Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.

? Strong understanding and respect for the principles of social justice with a demonstrated record of advancing diversity, equity and inclusion.

? Strong connections to Roaring Fork Valley regional community partners.

? Management/leadership experience with a track record of effectively leading performance- and outcomes-based organization and staff

? Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary, cross-functional project management skills.

? Experience with a similar sized non-profit organization working in youth services, community services, health and/or human services.
