Job Description

We're hiring a Program Director to lead day-to-day operations and drive quality, compliance, and outcomes for the people we support. This role blends leadership, problem-solving, and hands-on coordination across homes, clinics, and community partners. You'll set the pace, support managers, and ensure our programs meet HCBS standards with dignity and respect at the center.

What You'll Do



Serve as primary contact for crisis response and critical medical incidents; coordinate immediate actions and follow-up. Manage Social Security and Medicaid affairs at the organizational level; oversee eligibility, redeterminations, and documentation. Lead development and rollout of new service models aligned to person-centered practices and payer requirements. Own HCBS Settings Rule compliance across provider-owned/controlled settings; monitor, document, and close any findings. Drive quality improvement and certification activities; prepare for reviews, audits, and credentialing visits. Direct program operations to meet regulatory, contractual, and internal quality standards. Oversee team management, resource allocation, and program development across multiple sites. Supervise managerial staff; coach leaders, set goals, and build accountability. Manage the operational budget; track utilization and ensure fiscal performance. Oversee staff scheduling to meet authorized services and staffing ratios. Coordinate healthcare: appointments, MAR oversight with nursing, hospital transitions, and follow-ups. Lead/participate in interdisciplinary team meetings; ensure plans (PCP/BSP/LOP) translate into daily practice. Advocate for individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Autism, and Mental Illnesses; ensure rights, choice, and community inclusion. Plan and deliver staff training to reinforce documentation, HCBS, incident reporting, and person-centered supports.

What You'll Bring



3-5+ years of progressive leadership in IDD/behavioral health or HCBS programs. Working knowledge of HCBS Settings Rule, incident management, person-centered planning, and Medicaid processes. Experience supervising managers and leading multi-site operations. Strong documentation, systems, and audit readiness skills. A self-starter mindset: organized, decisive, comfortable setting priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving environment. Valid driver's license; ability to pass background checks. CPR/First Aid and other agency trainings (or willingness to obtain).

Nice to Have



Familiarity with Therap/EHRs, DDD or state waiver systems, CQI frameworks, and crisis response protocols. Experience launching new programs or service lines.

Schedule & Pay



Full-time, primarily weekday business hours with on-call rotation for emergencies. Additional perks: training stipends, career growth.

Pay: $30,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
