Position Summary
The Program Coordinator supports daily operations and service delivery for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role ensures high-quality, person-centered services by overseeing program operations, regulatory compliance, and staff supervision. The Program Coordinator promotes independence, safety, and community inclusion while collaborating with staff, families, and external providers to ensure individuals receive consistent and effective supports.
Hours of Work
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Work hours vary; frequent evening hours required
24-hour emergency coverage required
On-call responsibilities required
Spot checks conducted at various times and shifts, including unannounced visits
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and transfer individuals
Walking, climbing, bending, and reaching required
Qualifications
High school diploma required; college degree preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and supervisory experience
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
Working knowledge of DDDS standards and regulatory processes
Must have or be able to obtain required DDDS certifications, including but not limited to:
LLAM
CPR/First Aid
MANDT
Valid Delaware driver's license with a driving record that meets CCL and DDDS requirements
Reliable transportation required; travel is expected
Must meet all CCL pre-employment requirements
Major Responsibilities
Train and supervise residential and/or day habilitation managers
Ensure compliance with all applicable state regulations, agency policies, and procedures
Oversee and manage staffing FTEs and program budgets in collaboration with managers
Participate in person-centered team meetings to ensure appropriate representation and coordination of supports
Write, approve, and monitor support plans for individuals served
Prepare for and participate in audits, surveys, and quality assurance activities
Monitor all support needs related to health, safety, and well-being
Review and oversee monthly attendance and billing documentation for assigned programs
Ensure all required documentation and reports are completed and approved on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and as-needed basis
Act as a liaison between individuals supported, families, staff, and external agencies
