Our Medical Oncology Unit (3 South) is seeking a dedicated Professional Staff Nurse for a full-time Night Program role. This position offers three night shifts per week, participation in weekend and holiday rotations, and an enhanced

$4.00/hour night differential

(standard $2.00 plus an additional $2.00 exclusive to the program). Candidates must have at least six months of RN experience.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality care using the nursing process and Relationship-Based Care model; set daily goals, communicate clearly with the care team, and ensure thorough documentation. Build positive, collaborative relationships with patients, families, and colleagues while promoting a safe, supportive, and inclusive work environment. Provide effective patient and family education using adult learning principles; support the growth of students and new staff, including serving as a preceptor. Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in shared governance, unit initiatives, and change efforts to enhance the practice environment. Contribute to quality improvement by identifying opportunities, supporting evidence-based practice, and helping improve patient satisfaction and outcomes. Minimum of six months of RN experience Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to build positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians, and team members across the organization. Physical ability to meet job demands, including frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient positioning.

Licensure & Certifications

Current RN license or Temporary Practice Permit; must obtain full licensure within required timelines. Basic Life Support (BLS) required per AHA standards within 30 days of hire. Candidates working under multistate licensure must comply with applicable Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) requirements.
