The Plutonium Supply and Disposition Division (PSD) is looking for a motivated, customer-focused, professional, efficient, reliable, organized, and experienced Professional Staff Assistant to support the Material Recycle and Recovery Group (PSD-4). You will interact daily with the Group Leader, First Line Managers, and the administrative team in the organization. You will be responsible for providing advanced-level support to the management team in various areas, including administration, finance, HR, communications, and project management. You are expected to conduct daily business with minimal supervision, demonstrating accuracy, attention to detail, initiative, versatility, tact, and confidentiality.
You must be a motivated performer capable of quickly changing focus, working independently or as part of a team as needed, and comfortable with a broadly defined scope of work. You should be able to manage your workload and productivity to meet deliverables with quick turnaround deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Experience:
Level 2 Position requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
Level 3 Position requires a bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be expected.
Position commitment:
The position commitment for either level of this position is 1 year. Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. Desired Qualifications:

(Position will be cleared to this level). Eligibility requirements:

New-Employment Drug Test:
The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Although New Mexico and other states have legalized the use of marijuana, use and possession of marijuana remain illegal under federal law.
