Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with precision and integrity Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, food items, and snacks following safety standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including food preparation surfaces and seating spaces Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers during busy periods without sacrificing quality Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness Support food preparation tasks with basic math skills for portioning and measuring ingredients Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere Follow all food industry standards for serving, safety, and sanitation to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests

Skills

Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is a plus Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques Ability to perform basic math calculations related to retail math, cash handling, and food portioning Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours Experience in food preparation or serving within a cafe or retail environment is preferred Familiarity with cashiering procedures and cash register operations Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
