Duties
Prepare and cook authentic Mediterranean cuisine with attention to quality, presentation, and flavor.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining proper stock levels to ensure smooth kitchen workflow.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and leadership to maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
Develop menus that reflect authentic Mediterranean flavors while catering to dietary restrictions and customer preferences.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen activities.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless food service during peak hours and special events such as catering or banquets.
Monitor food production processes to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
Lead shift management duties, including scheduling staff rotations and overseeing daily operations.
Experience
Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments, with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine.
Supervising experience in a culinary setting, managing teams of cooks and kitchen staff.
Extensive background in food production, menu planning, and kitchen management within the food industry.
Knowledge of banquet service, catering operations, and event food service management is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of inventory management, food safety protocols, and culinary techniques.
Experience with dietary department standards and accommodating special dietary needs is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Background in hospitality or restaurant management will be advantageous for overseeing overall restaurant operations.
