Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in food service or hospitality environments. This role is vital in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and enjoy a seamless dining or visiting experience. Prior restaurant or hotel experience is a plus, and familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is beneficial. Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems Provide menus and answer initial questions about the establishment's offerings Communicate clearly with guests regarding wait times and seating policies Maintain a clean and organized host/host station Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow Handle guest inquiries via phone with professionalism and courtesy Assist in managing guest relations, addressing concerns promptly and courteously Support other front-of-house duties as needed to enhance guest experience

Skills

Proven host/host experience preferred, especially within food service or hospitality settings Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest interaction Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS Experience in hotel or guest services is advantageous Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and positive attitude Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
