The Professional, Enterprise Data Architect\'s role is to use expert skills and knowledge to define and deliver data solutions and to contribute to the development and implementation of the enterprise data strategy ensuring it is in line with and supports the IT and Business strategies. With the growing push of data and information being used as corporate assets, serving as integral platforms for generating revenue and competitive advantages, this individual must be able to understand both the technical points of data management, as well as the business drivers and needs regarding data and solutions to promotes its effective use.
  • data design of solutions for large projects and programs; through expert knowledge translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards.
  • Experience with Data Modeling, and data formats including Avro, Parquet etc.
  • Experience with cloud data services such as Azure ADLS, ADF, Event hub, Synapse Link .
  • Work as part of the program management team on large program, governing and shaping the delivery of projects. Work closely with external suppliers to ensure solution makes best use of technology and meets requirements.
  • Simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the group.
  • Lead collaborative team working with other areas to ensure that all solutions are complete, operable, conform to business processes, and meet the business needs with the agreed quality of service.
  • Responsible throughout the entire project lifecycle for the end-to-end solution of the project and compliance with enterprise data model and logical data groups.
  • Experience with Big Data Platforms, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes and Data Mesh/Hub concepts.
  • Ensure the end-to-end solution is fit for purpose, meet the needs of business, the agreed requirements, and are both pragmatic and supportive of the strategic architecture direction.
  • Help Oversee the end-to-end management of the organization\'s data assets (data lifecycle, information lifecycle).
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Understanding of data management practices such as data integration, data governance, master data management, metadata management, data quality management, security/privacy, and data modeling.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance issues as they exist and change from time to time.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
University degree in the field of computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum Experience:
  • 7 years\' experience working in the Data Management and information Management spaces.
  • Experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and data analysis.
  • Good knowledge of data management, data integration and database development techniques.
  • Experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experience with ETL and other business intelligence tools.
  • Experience developing reference architecture, principles, and standards.
  • Extensive experience with delivery of data solutions and SDLC processes.
  • Experience in planning and initiative designs.
  • Experience or knowledge of the data requirements for health insurance industry.
  • Proven experience in Data Management planning, organization, and development.
Skills:
  • Ability to relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs.
  • Entity Relationship modeling, metadata systems, data quality tools and techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Keen attention to detail.
Physical demands/Working conditions:
  • Physical office or work from home setting.
  • 40-hour onsite or remote work week with on-call availability as needed.
  • Limited travel between MVP offices, including overnight travel.
