Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our culinary team. We have just completed a full bakery with all the equipment + state of the art ovens. We are looking for the perfect candidate to take our restaurant to the next level!

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with baking in a commercial environment. Please, no home bakers unless very advanced skills.

I am looking for a professional baker who can come up with ideas, execute chef's ideas, and manage a variety of tasks/time management, keeping stock of ingredients etc. Also need to be able to execute special event items with relatively short notice (ie simple cake for 30 people in 2 days).

We have a variety of baked good/ pastry needs:

(Please note, you will not neccessarily be making all these every week (if it were to grow to that level, we would hire help!) but my ideal candidate can make all of the following
+ work with chef to make the most impact.

Restaurant:

-Bread Basket/ Variety: Sourdough Loaves, French Bread/ Bageuttes, Sandwich Bread, Burger Buns, Sweet Bread, Gluten Free Breads

-Rotating Deserts/Specials (Cakes, Cheesecakes, Pies, Pastries, etc), Gluten Free Deserts

*We already get our own ice cream flavors made- so can create ice creams to compliment deserts too!

Coffee Shop:

Bagels, Pastries/ grab and Go baked Goods (Croissants, Cinnamon Rolls, Filled breads/hand pies, etc), Gluten Free Options, Banana Bread, etc

Events/Catering:

Simple Wedding Cakes / Pies, Special Request Deserts for groups (birthday cakes, etc).

As well as come up with new, beautiful, instagrammable WOW ideas to create demand.

You will have flexibility in your hours, work with a great team and passionate chef, have some assistance, work in a beautiful environment with room for advancement, raises/bonuses, and lots of perks!

Brand New state of the art bakery in its own private room, but with a view towards the restaurant, you will have both privacy and be in a dynamic environment.

As a Baker, you will be responsible for creating a variety of baked goods, ensuring high-quality standard. Your creativity in cake decorating and ability to work efficiently in a kitchen environment will be key to your success in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
