As a key member of the production leadership team, you'll drive
continuous improvement initiatives
, champion
safe work practices
, and foster a culture of accountability and teamwork. You'll be directly responsible for motivating your team, solving complex production challenges, and implementing sustainable improvements that move the organization forward.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver on the production plan:
Ensure output goals are achieved and proactively address any production or quality issues.
Safety leadership:
Create and maintain a safe workplace by enforcing safety standards and procedures, and promoting a culture where safety is non-negotiable.
Continuous improvement:
Lead and participate in Kaizen and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities focused on safety, cost reduction, quality, and throughput.
Performance management:
Use data (C-Matrix, KPIs) to analyze shift performance, identify losses, and implement effective solutions.
Team development:
Assign personnel effectively, manage absenteeism, and build strong, motivated teams through coaching, mentoring, and training.
Cross-functional collaboration:
Partner with support groups, maintenance, engineering, and leadership to address production concerns and sustain improvements.
Quality ownership:
Monitor and improve zone-specific quality metrics, prioritizing issues and ensuring robust corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Willingness and ability to work any shift and overtime as needed
2+ years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field
Experience working in a unionized environment
Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives
Working knowledge of Google Suite programs
