Job Description

Summary:

Works together with the Food production line to ensure final product is finished following specific quality requirements and adherence to product characteristics. Fills production reports and directly oversees the work of the line packers.

Essential Functions:

Works under the direct supervision of the Plant Supervisor. Directly supervises the line packers. Ensures that line packers are trained and perform according to set production specifications of quality and product characteristics. Fills out production reports, ensures finished product is labeled, inventoried and accounted for throughout the production cycle. Follows production reports and adheres to production times, quality procedures and company safety standards at all times. Alerts Plant Supervisor immediately after noticing any abnormalities that interfere with the quality, functionality or specifications of finished product and helps resolve them and as quickly as possible. Relieves Line Packers due to production demands or for bathroom breaks. Monitors that Packing area stays clean and free of hazards. Ensures that proper stock of bags and packing materials are always available for line packers.

Physical Demands:

Frequent bending, twisting and lifting. Ability to lift unassisted 30 - 50 lbs at a time. Working standing and/or sitting for long periods of time. Ability to move hands in a rapid and repetitive manner as to keep up with the speed of the machine, help line packers and avoid packaging delays. Working in a warm environment with flour dust. Working in a loud production environment. Occasionally working extended shifts.

Skills and Experience:

Required:

Ability to communicate in a clear manner and follow specific instructions. Able to read, write and fill out reports related to finished product. Able to concentrate and work well under pressure. Ability to work in a fast pace environment Basic arithmetic skills. Ability to work, relate and guide others. Ability to follow and implement safety guidelines. Well organized.

Standard:

Positive attitude. Team player. Reliable, punctual and with the ability to work as schedule. Good personal hygiene and neat appearance.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 58 per week
