WeatherBarr Windows and Doors - Production Supervisor


Job Purpose


The Production Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to the assigned area in support of WeatherBarr Windows and Doors business objectives. They manage production goals, ensure effective utilization of resources and materials, and improve overall efficiency of operations. The supervisor facilitates strong communication and connection between all departments and resolves problems pertaining to people, production, and products.


Essential Functions


Responsible for developing and implementing plans and objectives relating to production, quality, and safety.
Directly manages department leadership. Oversees employees in production department and carries responsibility for departmental productivity and goal achievement. Motivates, challenges, and provides feedback to leadership and employees. Addresses complaints and courageously resolves problems that impact the department.
Manages and continually improves policies, procedures, and processes to maximize manufacturing efficiencies, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Technical Knowledge
Manufacturing processes: Understanding of production workflows, machinery, and equipment.
Quality control: Familiarity with inspection techniques, defect tracking, and continuous improvement.
Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma: Knowledge of waste reduction, process optimization, and statistical process control.
Safety regulations: OSHA standards, hazard identification, and emergency procedures.
Inventory and supply chain basics: Materials handling, stock levels
Leadership & People Skills
Team supervision: Assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
Conflict resolution: Handling disputes and maintaining a positive work environment.
Training and development: Coaching team members and onboarding new hires.
Motivational skills: Encouraging productivity and morale.


Qualifications


Degree in a related area from a recognized program or institution preferred.
3 years successful supervisory and production management experience.
Past experience with Lean manufacturing, Quality, Safety and related principles preferred.
Basic knowledge and competence with manufacturing software, MS Office.
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.


The starting wage for this position will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
