Job Description

As a supervisor you will be responsible for managing a crew of approximately 6 to 30 people depending on the shift and the department. Your primary responsibility will be to mold this group of people into an effective team that will efficiently meet the company's objectives, specifically, but not limited to, the following:

1)Maximize production while,

2)maintaining appropriate product quality,

3)maintaining established environmental policies,

4)lowering costs with an

5)emphasis on safety and

6)maintaining a pleasant work environment.

Specific responsibilities include:

1)The organization and allocation of labor resources

2)Completion of hourly paid team member time sheets

3)On the job training of employees

4)Safety of employees including monthly safety meetings

5)Identification, reporting, and/or rectification of day to day equipment faults or malfunctions

6)Maximization of production in accordance with established criteria

7)Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly ie movement of stock and accurate inventory

8)Maintaining a clean plant

9)Maintaining product quality in accordance with established criteria and minimize reject product

11)Utilizing raw materials in accordance with established criteria

12)Communicate between management and hourly paid employees

13)Ensuring compliance with company rules and discipline

14)Completing regular written evaluations of team members

15)Ability to climb stairs and ladders, operate rolling stock equipment, equipment in work area, enter confined spaces, operate fire extinguishing equipment, ability to work from heights, and lift, move, push, pull or carry 50lbs safely

16)Teach/Train employees and fellow Supervisors

17)Attend required trainings

18)Other responsibilities assigned to you by the Senior Supervisor, Production or Finishing Manager and/or General Manager/CEO

The work schedule will vary depending on department and production needs and will include day shift, swing shift, night shift, and weekend shift hours. A Supervisor must be prepared and is expected to work the hours necessary to get the job done right and have excellent attendance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
