Position Summary

The first shift Production Operator, under the supervision of the Manufacturing Facilitator or designee, rotates through the dipping, punching and packaging area. Performs variety of duties including dipping cards into various antimicrobial solutions, feeding the cards through rollers into the drying tunnel and collecting cards which have been dried, assembly of cartridge, punches cards, inspection of product and packaging of final product. The operator is responsible for ensuring that acceptable product quality and production rate standard. Follows QSR, ISO, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Follows outlined manufacturing procedures in English.
2. Ensure that only properly coded cards are passed through the drying oven and these cards are passed through the drying oven and these cards are completely immersed in the dipping process.
3. When performing the treated card inspection function, examine each card to ensure correct code and discard any defect.
4. Properly perform work function of the new punch press stations, reporting any malfunction or breakdown to the shift leader immediately.
5. Inspect work can for proper cartridge count and document required reconciliation activities and required manufacturing sampling plan.
6. Control Punching equipment stations functions following required steps in equipment stations Human Machine Interface (HMI). Interpret machine HMI alarms failure and determine required actions to be performed including Engineering and Shift Leader communication and or minimal solving.
7. Maintains established production rates and procedures assuring that procedures are followed and quality of the product is maintain, aligning with manufacturing standard rates and minimal scrap and downtime.
8. Monitor punch press machine for proper dispense of disc cartridge, slug, spring and ball operates. Visually inspect complete cartridge to ensure discs are properly placed in cartridges.
9. Cleans equipment and work area thoroughly following Line clearance procedures and documentation after each manufacturing batch and as required in manufacturing procedures.
10. An assembly different product for kits, fold boxes, place products into boxes with literature following required procedures.
11. Handle chemical materials as antibiotics, solvents, detergents and cleaning materials.
12. Work with Labeling equipment including installation of rolls, and pads to assure proper labeling, proper line clearance and proper product accountability of cartridges, vials, boxes and labels.
13. Complete production records by recording amount packaged, time, date, etc., and signs record.
14. Follows and ensures housekeeping regulations are followed in accordance to procedure and notify any deviation.
15. Rotates through the dipping, punching and packaging area.
16. Active participation in Lean 6S, Kaizen and OPAs Activities.
17. Use required gowning and safety equipment as ear protectors, safety shoes, respirators, gloved and any required PPE.
18. Work with raw materials (cards, cartridges, slugs, balls, forming) inventories monitoring.
19. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

One year to three years in a production line, experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical company is preferable.
