HearstMade is seeking a Production Manager to oversee branded content production across video and photo. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused, with a proven track record of managing complex productions and delivering high-quality results.
As a key member of the production team, you will play a critical role in executing and evolving HearstMade's production capabilities to create co-branded content that delivers on our brand partners' goals while resonating with the Hearst Magazines audience. The team is highly creative, collaborative, and thrives on ownership and initiative.
Responsibilities:
What You'll Do
The production team does a wide variety of work, including but not limited to the following:

  • Manage the planning and execution of custom content productions across video and photo, including coordinating schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Lead pre-production efforts, including booking travel, securing locations, coordinating production vehicles, sourcing props, and organizing catering and other logistics.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to align production needs with creative vision, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
  • Oversee on-set production, ensuring that all logistics, timelines, and deliverables are adhered to while addressing challenges in real time.
  • Manage production paperwork, including contracts, permits, invoices, payments, and releases, maintaining organized records for compliance and reporting.
  • Continuously assess and optimize production workflows and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

You have these:
  • 3 -5 years of experience in production management across agencies, publishing, digital media, or branded content creation.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects from pre-production through post-production.
  • Strong organizational and budget management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A deadline-driven, goal-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
The base salary for this role is between $78,000-$93,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
