Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:




Ensure the safe and cost-effective operation of the assets in Cape Girardeau to meet the associated business supply plans by providing leadership for the implementation and adherence to site safety, quality requirements, production requirements and maintenance programs Plan, organize and direct all aspects of plant production operations including, but not limited to, production planning and execution, quality control, safety and security, inventory consumption accuracy, equipment maintenance needs, and resource management Direct and implement site strategic plans as needed to support the Plant Manager and Company goals, inclusive of budgets, forecasts, capital plans, operating reviews, facility plans, succession planning, etc. Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety, environmental, and manufacturing Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure accurate inventory (e.g., timely and accurate inventory posting, cycle counting, etc.) Partner with key stakeholders (e.g., Supply Chain and Procurement, Engineering and Maintenance) to ensure proper alignment with production goals Continuously improve Verdesian Life Sciences' cost position by championing and leading productivity improvements, cost reduction, and process change initiatives Consistently lead the people at the plant to higher standards by facilitating their development and professional growth and ensuring leadership and technical talent base for the future Create and foster a supportive work environment through the appropriate and consistent use of human resource systems and ensure a productive working environment through collaborative employee relationships Direct and manage all plant production operations for efficient production, improved on-stream time, superior quality and packaging, as well as coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental heads to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner Provide leadership and direct the activities of all production staff, monitor KPI performance with periodic feedback communication meetings, monitor and correct job performance, lead daily safety and production execution meetings and maintain OSHA standards Maintain housekeeping practices in the plant to a high standard to be ready at any time for customers or management tours of the facility Project support for new start-ups of products specifically assigned by Plant Manager Enforcement of Plant safety initiatives on the floor to ensure employees are working in a manner consistent with training, injury reporting policies, and assuring plant environment is accessible and safe for employees, customers, and public Ability to be fit tested and don a mask Maintain a clean and safe working environment Other duties not listed above as assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualifications:




Minimum work experience of 4 years in supervisory role in a manufacturing environment. Minimum education of BA or BS degree in related field (engineering preferred), or equivalent experience
