Job Description

This role coordinates and supervises Production Supervisors and Continuous Improvement (CI) personnel to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities include mapping workflows, eliminating waste, and implementing Lean Management practices to drive safety, quality, and cost improvements. The position also facilitates training and certification programs in collaboration with local management and corporate standards, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing materials, machinery, and personnel performance.

Key Relationships



Internal:

Production Supervisors, Operators, Material Handlers, Managers, and peers.

External:

Suppliers, Auditors.

Education & Experience



Required:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Science; or 6-8 years of leadership experience in manufacturing. Lean Black Belt Certification. Bilingual (Spanish and English): fluent in reading, writing, and speaking. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of process improvement techniques.

Preferred:



Experience leading cross-functional projects and change management initiatives.

Technical Skills



Mathematics:

Ability to apply statistical concepts, ratios, percentages, and basic algebra/geometry.

Computer:

Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Excel (pivot tables, charts), and internet research.

Other:

Strong communication skills across all organizational levels and external stakeholders; ability to solve complex problems and present information effectively.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and coordinate production plans, maintenance schedules, and repairs, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines. Implement Lean strategies and CI initiatives to optimize processes and quality standards. Monitor production data, prepare reports, and ensure KPI compliance. Develop action plans and training programs to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, FDA requirements, and environmental policies. Act as deputy for the Production & CI Manager in daily operations, reporting, and project leadership. Promote 6S principles and maintain organized work areas.
