About us

Magic Number is Oregon's top selling cannabis beverage, with a full line of carbonated and still infused beverages and tinctures. We are a small team of 3 on the production side with 1 in sales/ marketing and produced roughly 1100 bbls in 2025.

Job Summary

The Production Lead is responsible for overall beverage operations including: batching, packaging, cleaning, quality control and recipe development (typically 2-3 new flavors per year). A typical week includes canning/ bottling for two days (~5hrs/ day), bath pasteurizing, batching to refill the tanks, managing inventory, assisting with labeling and coordinating potency testing with an outside lab.

You must be able to communicate and work effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute recipes for cannabis beverages with work towards constantly improving flavors Manage the production process from planning, batching, packaging, pasteurizing and labeling Maintain rigorous standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the production facility (CIP/COP) Ensure and increase the quality of all brewed products Maintain brewery equipment and facilities - tanks, pumps, canning/bottling lines Comply with all applicable regulations (OLCC/ODA) and maintain accurate production logs and documentation. Maintaining a safe working environment Organize inventory and order raw materials

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old with a valid drivers license Must pass the test for the OLCC Marijuana Handlers License Positive attitude Familiarity with or passion for the cannabis and hemp-infused beverage industry Proven experience with brewing and packaging Food safety experience Strong knowledge of beverage production processes, inventory management, sourcing ingredients Experience in soda/non-fermented beverage production would be ideal Demonstrated experience with canning/bottling line operation and troubleshooting, specifically with Codi canners is highly preferred Self motivated with good attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience working in conjunction with the sales team Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules Knowledge and proficiency of Google Docs, Drive and general pc skills Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
